The most recent fake news story has to be one of the most interesting. Thoughts on the Dead tweeted that an ostrich was stolen from the Philadelphia zoo. Snopes later posted about how this tweet was fake and how "a few jokesters [reported to the cops], an ostrich [was] stolen from the zoo." This tweet was apart of the hashtag   #PhiladelphiaPoliceScanner that spread throughout  the night following the Superbowl. The tweet was a part of a group of tweets that was a mix of police reports and pranks. The Philadelphia zoo later tweeted how they do not even have ostriches in their zoo and that all other "feathered friends" are safe.[ 111 words, 1 image, 3 links, 1 quote]
