Hawaii Panics After Alert About Incoming Missile Is Sent in Error

On January 13 cell phones across Hawaii received an emergency alert about an inbound missile threat. Causing widespread confusion and panic Emergency Services recalled the messages 38 minuets after it was first sent out.“What happened today was totally unacceptable,” said Gov. David Y. Ige. “Many in our community were deeply affected by this. I am sorry for that pain and confusion that anyone might have experienced.” This was human error and someone pushed the wrong button. It is unclear if anyone is being punished for this. People were very scared and on high alert, so naturally when this message was sent out there was such severe panic.
