On January 30th of 2018, a fake news story sparked controversy in the NBA league, and on social media. ESPN claimed that Lebron James would 'listen' to the warriors if theres a spot available, considering that Lebron would be a free agent next season. The story sparked a twitter trend, causing the cavaliers fans to react quickly, saying that they would never watch the NBA again. Golden State Warriors coach responded to the rumor during an after game press conference saying "you really want to ask me that? ... you know thats illegal I'm not answering that." on February 2nd of 2018, after a team practice, Lebron James addressed allegations, claiming it was "nonsense...its a non story. my only focus right now if figuring out how we are going to get to the championships."
