Comedian and actress, Rosie O'Donnell was reportedly arrested by federal authorities over posting a controversial political tweet.
On December 19 2017, Rosie O'Donnell tweeted about "offering" to pay politicians to vote against a tax reform:
According to Snopes, "although O'Donnell's tweet seemed to be a bit of political discourse intended to make a point rather than a genuine offer, right-wing critics quickly proclaimed that the comedian had committed the illegal act of offering a bribe to public officials", and "various disreputable web sites attempted to cash in on the brouhaha by pushing out fake news articles...". All the reports are false.
