There is an instagram page called Wild Viewing and they have a large following because of their posts about “incredible representations of animals from the around the world.” On March 21, 2018, the account posted an image which “showed a camel that lost half of its body, who survived after stepping on a landmine.” As breaking as this is, both the image and its accompanying backstory were fabricated. This viral image was created by manipulating a genuine photograph of a fully whole camel.
