Rise of fake news producing more journalism majors

Zoe Ginsberg, an 18-year-old freshman journalism major at USC’s Annenberg School, said she and her classmates have many discussions about the way media is viewed in recent years. “There is a level of excitement and thrill that has been inspiring”. Journalism can be iffy with the recent increase in media. Trump's criticism have put a damper on reporters and the news industry. Surprisingly applications to journalism schools has increased rapidly. This is because there is more of in interest in today’s news and society. Fake news is drawing in more of an interest with young journalist.
