Shark Hugging

An article by World News Daily Report (WNDR) claimed that Greenpeace activist Darrell Waterford was attempting to give a great white shark a hug in the Indian Ocean. In his attempt, the shark turned around and bit his arm off, almost killing him. According to Greenpeace, the Darrell and a few other activists were trying to "improve the marine predator's public image" to help stop shark hunting (WNDR). According to Snopes, this claim is completely fabricated and is meant to be satirical. The feature image in the article is a victim of an alligator attack in 2012. Once again, Snopes strikes back to disprove another dubious article and help the internet what's real and fake.
