On February 11th of this year, Laura Clark posted a picture that sparked some suspicions. After the large amount of controversy regarding the trend of eating "Tide Pods", it was discovered that the company "Mars" had released edible candy "pods". Considering it's popularity it wouldn't have been surprising if "the famous chocolate company was taking advantage of the controversy". There were mixed reactions when it came to this accusation because while the trend was entertaining to some, it had life-threatening effects to those who participated.
