Did Melania Trump Ban the White House from Taking the Flu Shot

At the beginning of 2018, when the severe flu was at it’s peak, Melania Trump did not allow any of the White House staff to recieve it nor did she let the vaccination into the House. After doing research on what the flu shot consists of she didn’t want it anywhere near her son. “The First Lady, who proudly describes herself as a “full-time mom”, then realized that this year’s flu shot is only 10% effective – and the flu strains contained in the vaccine may be responsible for spreading serious cases of influenza.”(snopes.com) In reality this was never true, the flu shot is recommended by government to take yearly for the age of six months and older, so it’s hard to believe that someone who is apart of the government to tell over 600 people they can’t take it. “In 2017, a study in Pediatrics was the first of its kind to show that flu vaccination also significantly reduced a child’s risk of dying from influenza.”(snopes.com)
