Do Onions Absorb Flu Virus?

Did you know? it is said that In 1919 a flu killed 40 million people. The Doctor wanted to see if he could fight it and ended up experimenting on the onions from the farmers house that survived , to study under the microscope. He observed the flu to be absorbed by the onion. Till this date, some people still believe that placing sliced onions around the house would absorb flu virus. Some even hang onions from their ceilings or on doorways to keep out and kill flu virus, diphtheria, smallpox and the cold virus.  With harsh truth like "Every year about 36,000 people in the United States die from flu, and 114,000 have to be admitted to the hospital because of it. The flu is not just a week of feeling lousy and missing work; it is a disease that can and does kill." ,  people would almost believe anything to get rid of flu and that's where fake news comes in!  If you really want to stay healthy, you would wash your hands and avoid being around sick people because there is no medical miracle to placing peeled onions around your house and neither is onion a sponge that could take in all your germs.
