Facebook Users You Don't Know Are Following You

Fake News Story Sparks Controversy On Facebook

In the beginning of January 2017,  a rumor spread across Facebook, stating that Facebook users were being paid to follow certain Facebook accounts to watch their posts. Instructions were shared to go onto to your account to be able to block these accounts. However, according to Snopes, following these instructions apparently doesn't help you block these users. "Entering the term 'Facebook Security' into 'Block Users' search box simply returns 'profiles of [users] who have used those particular words somewhere on their profile [or] in a place that’s visible to the individual, as in a public post." The list did not include people who are supposedly spying on you, or people that following you in general. [ 2 Links, 1image, 1 quote, 115 Words]
