Is El Chapo making a deal with the United States?

According to MSN, El Chapo is eager to get to trial. Per stated here, " Notorious Mexican drug lord and escape artist Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman is eager to go to trial, his lawyer said Thursday after a U.S. judge set Sept. 5 for jury selection in his drug-trafficking case." However, is this because he has already made a deal with the United States government? El Chapo had many friends, and the United State's war on drugs is failing miserably, could El Chapo be selling out his friends for his own freedom? Yes, that is exactly what he has done, and that is why he is eager to get to trial. Because the trial is rigged, per his request, per the deal he has made with the United States Government.
