Openly gay Olympian Adam Rippon refused to meet with Vice President Mike Pence due to his openly anti-gay stance. Despite a clear statement made by the Olympian, Pence called Rippon's observations fake news, and said that he is there for "ALL of them."
In his tweet, Pence tells Rippon not to get distracted by fake news, but is this really fake news? Is Rippon obligated to meet with the Vice President, or does he have the right to refuse based on his own personal beliefs? From where I stand if Pence is allowed to have his opinions on gay marriage why would Rippon not be allowed to act upon his opinions.
