Rob Porter, the secretary for Trump and a part of his "inner circle", admitted abuse toward his wife in February 2018. According to a fake news site on facebook called "Fox News the FB page" Mike Pence supposedly supported Porter for committing this action. The rumor spread was that Pence used a bible quote to defend Porter by saying "women should 'submit to their husbands as their husbands are their heads just as jesus is the head of the church'" (LaCapria).
Proven by https://www.snopes.com/mike-pence-porter-bible/ , this article is fake news posted by the fox news facebook page that has nothing to do with the actual fox news. Mike Pence is very against domestic violence and in no way used the bible to defend Porter when Pence knew that Porter was in the wrong and did not support him at all.
