There are many difference between England and the United States, people buying franchises and finding new ways to invest their money is not one of them.  Apparently, even Queen Elizabeth is no different from anyone one of thousands of people investing in McDonald's franchises.  An insider reports "One of her Highness's shrewdest secret investments is a McDonald's location at Banbury Gateway Shopping Park, about 80 miles northwest of London."  While this seems to be an unlikely investment for the Queen, she certainly seems to be giving her patrons the royal treatment.  While McDonald's on our side of the pond treat customers to very modest accommodations, the Queen has given hers a big step up.  "Customers lounge on plush leather couches and designer copy chairs.  Food is brought to diners for some service fit for a Queen."
