The Babylon Bee is a news site that shows up in Facebook
feeds all the time. The site features controversial stories about political statements
about the bible and other news relevant to Christians. The problem with the website
is that it is entirely satire. In fact, the website states this at the bottom of
the page: “The Babylon Bee is Your Trusted Source For Christian News Satire.” The
Babylon Bee is an example of the good kind of fake news. Satire is meant to entertain,
and being honest about the satire makes the Bee one of the few to admit their news
is not to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, not everyone understands what satire
is, and so they continue to share their anger and frustrations when they see a Babylon
