During Sierra Leone’s national election on March 7th, members of the mandated organization that supervises voter registration and all public election in the country were accused of using blockchain to their personal preferences. However, this news was proved fake and further backed up by the National Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone’s chairman, Mohamed Conteh. He stated that,”the NEC has not used, and is not using blockchain technology in any part of the electoral process.” Still with doubts among several of Sierra Leone’s residents, the NEC publicly revealed the technology that is used during the process, in order to clear up any further speculations.
