Benghazi Attack

The 2012 “Benghazi attack” refers to a coordinated attack against two United States government facilities in Benghazi, Libya by members of the Islamic militant group Ansar al-Sharia. Initially, we were informed that the attack was a "terrorist attack." However, through September 14th, CIA analysts made a contradictory assessment, stating "We believe based on currently available information that the attacks in Benghazi were spontaneously inspired by the protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and evolved into a direct assault against the U.S. Consulate."
Even in this modern age of surveillance and communications, we were told by media different stories. It was left to viewers to make a biased decision about what could have happened.
