"Lie by Lie" - Typically, a person can think of news as Fake News if that
news contradicts his/her narrative or belief. Fake news media have caused war,
make a countries economy turn upside down and/or simply destroy the lives of
innocent people. Today there are media that wage wars against truth. Fake news
can easily manipulate people who cannot control their thoughts and minds. In my
first post, I would like to point out how US waged war against Iraq after 9/11
incident, by spreading a false news stating that the then Iraq regime under
Saddam Hussein was aiding terrorists and possessed Weapons of Mass Destruction
(WMD). Then, President Bush and Secretary Powell took the case to the UN and
then invaded Iraq. But US failed to prove its false claims to the world which
came as a big blow to our nation. Think about the loss of innocent lives,
money, and credibility of the US. Iraq is still struggling as a nation. Most of
the US people also believed this fake news at that time.
