How To Spot Fake News

The NPR created an article, “Fake News or Real? How to Self Check The News And get the Facts”, to identify strategies for readers to use to spot fake news. To sum up these strategies they propose to look at the URL, read the “about us” section, look for quotes and who said them, read comments, and cross check for related images. These tips enforce a “fundamental sense of media literacy” because the more that consumers fall for fake news, the more it will be spread. [1 link, 2 quotations, 1 image, 108 words]
