The Philadelphia Eagles will face off against the New England Patriots on February 4 in the 2018 Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is arguably the most awaited sports event across the nation, when a meme was created stating that the NFL announced that the national anthem will not be televised before the Super Bowl in February. Despite the commotion the meme created it was harmless and the NFL has announced that, “International superstar P!NK will sing the National Anthem as part of Super Bowl pregame festivities at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sunday, February 4, the NFL and NBC announced today. The performance will be televised live on NBC prior to kickoff” (NFL).
