Pluto is a planet now?

In January 2018, some new information surfaced about Pluto on Twitter and Facebook. There was talk that Pluto had been "officially reclassified as a planet" (Futurism.com). But this is not true, Pluto is still considered a dwarf planet. In order to be classified as a regular planet, nothing can affect your orbit around the sun. In Pluto's case, things like asteroids and other massive things in space affect it's orbit, so it is considered a dwarf planet. Many people feel that Pluto should be considered a planet, but sadly I don't think it will ever regain it's status of being a planet. [102 words, 1 image, 1 quote, 1 link]
