Pedophile's sentence shortened?

In December 2014, a news site posted that a judge cut 15 years off a pedophile's sentence because the girl he assaulted "asked to be raped" (YourNewsWire). But in reality this never happened, there is no record the the pedophile saying this. The man did in fact assault the 3 year old girl but the judge didn't shorten his sentence because of this statement. Instead the pedophile received a mandatory 25 years - life sentence. I think he should have been given more because assault of any kind is unacceptable and I think the U.S. justice system should be harder on pedophiles. [101 words, 1 image, 1 quote, 1 link]
