In Washington D.C., "a senior U.S. general has confirmed that the military has secretly drawn up plans to round up large numbers of privately-owned firearms from American gun owners" (Link). General James Scott was given direct orders from the White House to begin plans for a massive nationwide confiscation; Scott revealed this information to Duffel Blog reporters in a parking garage. Yes, a parking garage, how official right? This is the point where you can tell that this is fake news. Unless you were already aware that Duffel Blog is only a parody of a news organization, which is why, compared to most fake news reports, this one didn't go viral.
