There’s a snake in my boot

WRBC news posted a story March 22nd when fear began to arise among the residents of Calhoun, Georgia when a fake Facebook post claimed venomous snakes are lurking in their town sewers.  Since the post, Calhoun Mayor James Palmer has been bombarded with concerns of his residents, questioning if it’s safe to walk the streets.Apparently the Facebook account, which is named “City of Calhoun, Gordon County GA”, has made similar posts in the past, but still remains as trustworthy due to its usage of city emblems that makes it appear official. Nonetheless, residents still believe what they read, even after it has been proven false. WRBC further survey’s Facebook by stating that,” Facebook Inc. has been under scrutiny amid complaints about fake news and fake accounts.”
