Even though President trump
claims that he is the pioneer of the phrase “fake news”, the art itself was
engineered by Russia between 1990 and early 2000s. Almost two decades later,
the Russians employed this art effectively in trying to help the Republican candidate secure the presidential
election. In his new book The Road to Unfreedom,
Timothy Synder makes a bold claim accusing Russian leaders as the pioneers of
the now prevalent social problem.
