A Candy Company is Selling Edible Pods Following the 'Tide Pod Challenge'

I'm sure all of you are familiar with the 'Tide Pod Challenge' that has been sweeping the internet this year. If you aren't aware of this viral hit, it features people attempting to eat laundry detergent which multiple outlets have cautioned the dangers of doing this. However, in the wake of this controversy, people found a company called MARS chocolate who have been selling candy 'Mars Pods' and people were quick to assume that this company was taking advantage of the viral scene. When in reality this was far from the truth, according to Mars, Incorporated they stated that they "have been manufactured since at least 2005, more than a decade before the 'Tide Pod Challenge' began."
