On 14 February 2018, 17 people were killed in a mass shooting
at a high school in Parkland, Florida, by Nicholas Cruz. People started
speculating, because of his last name, if he was an undocumented
immigrant. "The accused school shooter in Florida is a Dreamer, a DACA
recipient, or undocumented." However, Nicholas Cruz was adopted at
birth by a family with the surname Cruz. The public started tweeting about
the potential of Nicholas Cruz being an illegal immigrant and this hype all
started from one account by former
Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.
